Vital Signs Supports Mat's Quest
Vital Signs recently sponsored Mat Jones in his Quest to make it to the base camp of Mt. Everest and summit Island Peak in Nepal. Mat carried a digitally printed banner by Vital Signs, which included his list of sponsors, all the way to the top of the peak. Here's a little bit of information about Mat's journey from his website.
"So what is this "Quest" all about? In December of 2007, I made the decision to change the direction of my life. More importantly the direction of my health. I spent many years of my life well over three hundred pounds and, most over four hundred pounds. March 10th, 2008, I underwent a surgical procedure called the "Gastric sleeve". In the following twelve months, through lifestyle change, exercise, determination, and the support of my family, and friends, I have lost two-hundred and forty pounds. The "Quest" is a trip to Mt. Everest base camp, and from there a summit attempt at Island Peak. Island Peak also know as "Imja Tse" is the baby sister of Mt. Everest, standing a mere 20,305 ft. Only 15 feet short of Mt. McKinley , the highest point in North America. My goal is to raise the awareness of morbid obesity in America. This "Quest" will open many doors and give me a larger platform to speak about the three principles that have made me successful. Heart, Head, and Accountability!"
Vital Signs congratulates Mat on the success of his summit and how his story will help make the difference in the live's of many people.
